Privacy Policy

Overview

triibe's Privacy Policy ("Policy") is designed to help you understand how we collect and use the personal information you decide to share, and help you make informed decisions when you use the trii.be website (the "Site" and "Service"), both on your desktop (web version) as well as mobile device (mobile version), operated by triibe ("triibe"). By using or accessing the Site, you are accepting the practices described in this Policy.

It is important to distinguish between what we will share with third parties, and what users are themselves sharing on the Site. Except as defined in our Terms of Use, we do not generally restrict what you share on the Site, and you are solely responsible for the content and privacy of what you share.

triibe does not sell personal information to third parties at any time for any reason. The information we collect, as described below, is used solely to facilitate the delivery to you of our Services. Users, however, should be aware that information on the Site may be discovered by third parties without the involvement of triibe, including, without limitation, search engine crawlers, bots and the like. Users should always take that into consideration whenever they share something on our Site.

When you send email or other communication to triibe, we may retain those communications in order to process your inquiries, respond to your requests and improve our services.

Non-personally-identifying information includes information that is commonly made available by web browsers and servers, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. triibe may use this information to better understand how visitors use our website. From time to time, we may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate (e.g., by publishing a report on aggregate triibe usage).

Cookies

A cookie is a small file containing a string of characters. This information is sent to your computer when you use triibe, and it's stored on your computer so that we can uniquely identify a user's browser. We use cookies to store unique users, preferences and track user trends. Because triibe is personalized, your browser must accept cookies for us to provide our Service to you.

Additional Uses

In addition to the above, triibe may process personal information for such purposes as:

  • Sending you information related to your triibe account or other triibe services; Auditing, research and analysis in order to maintain, protect and improve our services;
  • Ensuring the technical functioning of our network; and Developing new services.
  • For users outside the Singapore, please note that any personally-identifying information you enter into the Site will be transferred out of your country and into Singapore. You consent to such transfer through your use of the Site and our Service. You also warrant that you have the right to transfer such information outside your country and into Singapore.
Choices for Personal Information

triibe users may modify their profile information at any time by logging into their account. Information will be updated immediately. Individuals who wish to deactivate their triibe account may send an email request to: hello@trii.be.

You can decline to submit personal information to our Service, in which case triibe may not be able to provide the Service to you.

Information Sharing

Other than the respective merchant in which you submitted your information to and in addition to the uses noted above, triibe only shares personal information with other companies or individuals outside of triibe (and the merchant network) in the following limited circumstances:

  • We have your consent. We require opt-in consent for the sharing of any sensitive personal information.
  • We have a good faith belief that access, use, preservation or disclosure of such information is reasonably necessary to (a) satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process or enforceable governmental request, (b) enforce applicable Terms of Use, including investigation of potential violations thereof, (c) detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues, or (d) protect against imminent harm to the rights, property or safety of triibe, its users or the public as required or permitted by law.
  • If triibe becomes involved in a merger, acquisition, or any form of sale of some or all of its assets, we will provide notice before personal information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

We may share aggregated and non-personal information we collect under any of the above circumstances. We may combine non-personal information we collect with additional non-personal information collected from other sources. We also may share aggregated information with third parties, including advisors, advertisers and investors, for the purpose of conducting general business analysis. This information does not contain any personal information and may be used to develop Site content and services that we hope you and other users will find of interest.

Information Security

We take appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure or destruction of data. We restrict access to personal information to triibe employees, contractors and agents who need to know that information in order to operate, develop or improve our services. These individuals are bound by confidentiality obligations and may be subject to discipline, including termination and criminal prosecution, if they fail to meet these obligations.

Data Integrity

triibe processes personal information only for the purposes for which it was collected and in accordance with this Policy. We review our data collection, storage and processing practices to ensure that we only collect, store and process the personal information needed to provide or improve our services. We take reasonable steps to ensure that the personal information we process is accurate, complete, and current, but we depend on our users to update or correct their personal information whenever necessary.

Accessing and Updating Personal Information

Subject to the exceptions referred to in section 21(2) of the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (No. 26 of 2012) of Singapore (“PDPA”), you have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you. If you would like a copy of some or all of your personal information, please send an email to hello@trii.be. We may make a small charge for this service.

We want to ensure that your personal information is accurate and up to date. If any of the information that you have provided to triibe changes, for example if you change your email address, name or payment details, or if you wish to cancel your registration, please let us know the correct details by sending an email to hello@trii.be. You may ask us, or we may ask you, to correct information you or we think is inaccurate, and you may also ask us to remove information which is inaccurate.

This Policy applies solely to information collected by triibe. Our Service may contain links to other websites. We are, of course, not responsible for the privacy practices of other web sites. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our site to read the privacy statements of every web site that collects personally identifiable information.

Enforcement

triibe regularly reviews its compliance with this Policy. Please direct any questions or concerns regarding this Policy or triibe’s treatment of personal information to: hello@trii.be. We will cooperate with the appropriate regulatory authorities, including local data protection authorities, to resolve any complaints regarding the transfer of personal data that cannot be resolved between triibe and an individual.

Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to change our Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use at any time. We expect most such changes will be minor. We will post any Policy changes on this page and, if the changes are significant, we will provide a more prominent notice. Each version of this Policy will be identified at the top of the page by its effective date. We encourage you to refer to this policy on an ongoing basis so that you understand our current privacy policy. Unless stated otherwise, our current privacy policy applies to all information that we have about you and your account.
